Kyle Wood - Owner & Artist
Kyle started tattooing his Army brothers while deployed in Iraq in 2010. After leaving the Army, he learned a bit at a few shops around Kitsap County, Bay Area California, and Anchorage Alaska. In 2013 he opened Woodwork Tattoo in Poulsbo, Washington. Since then, he’s developed his unique artistic style which has become a favorite of clients near and far.
Kyle’s artistic style can best be described as illustrative, with a lot of influence from comic book style art. He likes tattooing his own renditions of characters (think Ninja Turtles and Marvel characters) as well as images of ladies, animals, and anything with a little element of fantasy. He never shies away from the challenge of a good portrait, either. Drawn-on tattoos are Kyle’s jam, he loves when clients trust him to draw a design directly on their skin with sharpies right before he starts tattooing.
Outside of tattooing, Kyle loves film and music, and has started Manette Radio Hour at the shop to create videos for local musicians. When he’s not at the shop working his main hustle or one of his many side hustles, you can find him enjoying the PNW.
